you are
\nallowed to be
\na many-layered thing\u2026
\nto have texture and shades.
\nto be kissed by the sunlight
\nand bitten by the moon
\nand to feel all the different ways
\nthat you feel,
\nall the raw and tender mess of it all.
\nto let all of that shadow and sugar be in you
\nand the pretty and dirty and beautiful and wild
\nrun through you and spill out of you
\neverywhere, all at once\u2026
\nto just let yourself be a
